Os pesquisadores tamb\u00e9m estimam que os custos dos cuidados de sa\u00fade associadas com o local de trabalho \u00e9 compar\u00e1vel com o custo de diabetes, 174 mil milh\u00f5es de d\u00f3lares nos Estados Unidos em 2007, de acordo com os Centros de Controle e Preven\u00e7\u00e3o de Doen\u00e7as de 2011. (Hbs.edu,. 2015)<\/p>\n<p>Dr Stefan Hoffman e colegas na Universidade de Boston publicaram recentemente uma meta-an\u00e1lise de 39 estudos para investigar o efeito de terapias baseadas em medita\u00e7\u00e3o e aten\u00e7\u00e3o plena para reduzir ansiedade e depress\u00e3o. Os autores, de acordo com declara\u00e7\u00e3o pessoal no final da pesquisa, admitiram que eles estavam muito c\u00e9ptico de que as terapias baseadas em medita\u00e7\u00e3o e aten\u00e7\u00e3o plena iriam ter um efeito significativo de redu\u00e7\u00e3o de sintomas. Ainda assim, os resultados mostraram que interven\u00e7\u00f5es baseadas em medita\u00e7\u00e3o e aten\u00e7\u00e3o plena s\u00e3o eficazes no tratamento da ansiedade e de depress\u00e3o.
